En av mina favoritböcker just nu är The Rhyming bible. Det är precis vad det låter som. jag hade turen att springa på boken - som jag hörde talas om långt innan - i Indien. Vi var i många bokaffärer där och rotade, och där var den het plötsligt. Den är ljuvligt rolig emellanåt. Och ibland mest bara finurlig... 

David and Goliath - 1 Samuelsboken 17

The troops stayed back behind the lines...

'What's wrong?' he asked a man.

'A giant joined the Philistines - 

six cubits and a span!

'This monster (calle Goliath) cires:

"Whoever fights with me

and wins, wins all; but if he dies, 

we claim the victory!"

'For forty days he's shouted thus,

but no one has replied.'

So David said, 'I'll fight for us - 

it's high time someone tried!'...

He earned teh blessing of the king, 

but armour he rejected:

his only weapon was a sling

and five stones he selected.

'I'll carve you up!' Goliath roared, 

'the birds will be well-fed!'

But David slung his stone, and scored - 

the giant fell down dead!

Teh Poor in Spirit will be blessed

for they will find eternal rest;

the Mourners, who have been bereaved,

will have their sufferings relieved;

and to the Meek (last in the queue)

the riches of the earth are due.

will justify tehir self-denial;

those who are mercifull, will know

teh tolerence they always show;

the ones whose hearts are Pure, will see

the unalloyed Divinity;

the peacemakers, who challenge Hate,

will be called to God's estate;

and those who suffer Persecution

will earn eternal restitution.

You should rejoice when you are cursed

for through me you'll be reimbursed - 

just like the prophets in the past,

you will find peace in Heaven at last!
